If you test positive for an STD, get treatment. Then contact all partners you have had sex with in the recent month. It may be embarrassing to make the call - but you will be helping to protect others and might even end up protecting yourself in the long run. Or visit inspot.org and send an anonymous ecard informing your sex partners of your exposure.
Steps to Protection TALK!!! Before you fuck or suck - find out about your partner. Find out what they might be at risk for.
USE YOUR EYES! Check for sores, redness or a discharge.
Routine SCREENING - If you are sexually active, have a STD screening done every 3 months.
BE PREPARED! In some cases, the best way to stay protected from STD’s is to use a latex condom every time you fuck or get fucked. When having oral sex you can use latex dental dams, and non-lubed condom to lessen the risk from sucking dick and licking butt.
EDUCATE YOURSELF! Find out about what out there. Call your local clinics, doctors offices or Department of Public Health. If you have access to the Internet - do some surfing. Ignorance is no protection.

Shotworthy.com is not associated with or funded by City, State or Federal funds and relies solely on the generosity and support of sexually active gay men who are ready to take responsibility for how we have sex and with who. The links and testing venues listed on Shotworthy.com have not asked or paid for endorsements.
The developers of Shotworthy.com would like to thank and acknowledge the generous support of Titan Media and the continued effort put into improving health messages for gay and bisexual, sexually active men. This site would not have been possible without the availability of funds generated from private businesses such as Titan Media and from the private contributions of men who feel that public health messages lack the ability to reach us in a culturally, non-judgmental way.
The content of the pages found on Shotworthy is developed by gay men from across the country. They all share the desire to improve gay and bi men's sexual health.
