LORD OF THE RINGS

Dear Shotworthy,
From time to time, I hear a lot of talk in the magazines and have even seen them in some of the movies, but how dangerous are cockrings? And is there a difference between cock rings and cock straps, metal or leather? Can I wear one ever day?

Thanks, Ring Toss

Hey Toss,
You sent me some great questions and challenges to answer this month. Obviously I can't answer all of them here - but keep reading 100% beef and you will eventually see me get to them. Since you had a bunch of concerns and questions that seemed to focus on your dick and keeping it hard, I figured I would tackle them this month for you.

So it’s important that we keep in mind the basics of how and why our dick gets hard. Increased blood flows into it when we are excited (and even when we are not aware - such as while sleeping) causes the penis to enlarge, i.e. a hard on, woodie, etc. This is a natural process that is common to all men, boys, and even infants. In some cases, whether it be due to nervousness, minimum excitement, age, medication or other issues it isn't always as hard as it was when we were 16. But Mother Nature can get a bit of support from today's wide assortment of rings; straps, bands and more that can help stiffen the ole "big guy." I thought it might be useful to simply define a bunch of the accessories for our little pocket pal to keep him at attention so when you go to order one you are on the same page as the what's being referred to.

Cock Rings:
These are usually solid metal or rubber donut shaped rings that are worn at the base of the penis and around the scrotal sack (your balls). Also referred to as Cock and Ball rings, they should fit comfortable when soft and snug when the penis is erect. They generally come in a variety of sizes and thicknesses, as they are often not adjustable (except in the case for rubber ones which will have some give to them, and may be more one-size-fits-most).

Some men may also decide to wear them at the base of the shaft of the dick, especially men that do not have low hanging balls or find that the ring when around the balls gets in the way of fucking.
